Someone's in the Kitchen

A few years ago, I signed up on BHG's website to receive weekly decorating emails.  One of those recent emails featured their Ultimate Kitchen Designs.  All I can say is WOW!  If I had a million dollars, a few hundred thousand would definitely be invested into one of these designs!

I've always believed that a kitchen is one of the rooms that can make or break a home.  I prefer large kitchens with open shelving, white marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, a chandelier (or two), dark wood plank floors (preferably from an old barn) and white cabinets.  That's not asking for much, is it?  ;-)

I thought I would share a few of these gorgeous kitchens with you.  There are truly not enough adjectives to describe them!  Albeit, one word does describe them all - CLASSY!

I'm going to start with this kitchen.  The blue is so lovely and brings a little of the outdoors in.  The chandelier is exquisite!

While this is not my style, I do think it would be perfect in a modern mid-century home.  What do you think?

This industrial style is pretty sharp.  I think I like the TV mounted on the wall.  I could watch my favorite cooking shows while I cooked.  I also like the exposed duct work, and the pendant lights look like little UFOs.  Pretty darn cool!

These next two photos are of two classic black and white kitchens - two of my favorite colors combined.  While they do not fit the description of my "perfect" kitchen, I would take either one of them if they were a gift.

This kitchen combines two more characteristics I like...brick walls and open shelving. This kitchen would be perfect in a small cottage-style house.

I like the bold pop of red in this kitchen.

This one is close to my perfect kitchen, but a little short of the enchilada.

And just one more before you go.

What does your "perfect" kitchen look like?
