Nothing Bundt Cakes

While living in Texas, I discovered a wonderful bakery called Nothing Bundt Cakes.  I cannot begin to describe how wonderful these cakes are.  While the company is a chain, the cakes are always fresh and of course, are "bundt" shaped.

All of the flavors are delicious!  Well, I say they all are delicious.  I've never tasted the Carrot Cake because nothing "carrot" crosses my lips!  I'm making a face right now just thinking about anything carrot-y.  Ewww.  Anyway, their cakes are wonderful.  Here is the link so that you can check them out.  If one is close by, I strongly urge you to order the variety 12 pack of mini-bundt cakes.  I can eat the entire box all by myself.  But because I'm nice, I will usually share one, or two, with the hubby.  :-)

Not too long ago, I found a mini-bundt pan so that I could make my own little bundt-shaped cakes and muffins.    Easy to use and easy to clean up!  I made these Apple Cinnamon muffins this morning.

Cute, huh?  I would like to say that I made these from scratch but I didn't.  I used a Martha White mix.

I figure Martha knows how to do it so much better than I do and that there is nothing I could add to make it better.  But I do add a little something and that is Cinnamon Sugar.

I add it to the mix and then sprinkle some on top for a little added cinnamon-y sweet flavor.  Hot right out of the oven - YUM!

I think I will try a red velvet cake mix next time to see if I can get the Nothing Bundt Cake flavor!

Happy Thursday!

  4. My favorite cake in the whole wide world is a spice cake. About two years ago, our grocery store stopped carrying Duncan Hines spice cake for awhile. I was dismayed! I found a good recipe online to make one from scratch ( cost the EARTH to compile all the spices, etc. ) and while it was Good, It Was Not The Same as Duncan Hines :) Thank goodness it appeared on the shelves again after a hiatus :)

    1. Deb, I love a spice cake also! I have a wonderful recipe for Apple Spice Jar Cakes and I love to make those at Christmas. They are easy peasy! I will see if I can track down my recipe to share with you. You will really like them. And it doesn't have to be made in a jar! Baking them in the jars makes for cute Christmas gifts!

  5. Mmm. We have Nothing Bundt Cakes just a few miles from my house. When I had surgery back in January, a friend dropped them off on my porch. Loved them and will remember to do this for others. Your cake looks wonderful and the size is perfect. :)

I want everyone to get a taste of them! :-) I was afraid I would have to do without them when we moved from Texas a few months ago, but I have happily found a bakery here in Nashville! Thank you again and have a great weekend!

  8. You do not eat carrot cake!?! With a huge layer of cream cheese icing!?! I have always wondered if it is only the shape that makes a cake a bundt.

    1. No, no carrot cake for me and especially no cream cheese icing! The only thing I eat a “cream cheese” based icing on is Red Velvet Cake. And yes ma’am, it is because of the shape of the pan – European in nature, popular in the US in the 50’s and 60’s, then Pillsbury gave it a little publicity boost!
