In the spirit of self-deprecating humor, I thought I would share this post, with links, on some of my worst craft projects. If you click on the link, it will take you straight to the scene of the crash!
In first place, The Stool Pigeon. How could you forget this nightmare?
And in short third, let's not forget the Stenciling Fiasco.
And to round out this little set, the post that got the least views...Snow and Mud Pie! I thought it would have been my first one. I thought wrong! :-)
Happy Friday!

Without flops, there can be no flips! I still love the deconstructed stool pigeon.
ReplyDeleteSo true! LOL…he is still living in limbo. The hubby did repaint the legs for me. I just can’t bring myself to resurrect him yet to try again!
DeleteBenita, I just went back and read all three posts...oh boy! I have been there! This is precisely the reason why my crafts are always the "super simple" kind. I do not refinish or reupholster furniture and I sew only when it becomes absolutely necessary...and even then, I take the shortest route I can to complete the project. I always tell people "just don't look too close." I love the product, not the process. You do however have a wonderful gift for making these disappointing adventures extremely amusing for your reader. I did (I'm so sorry) laugh my way through all three tales....and truth be told, they are all lovely and I think your stool by the fireplace with the basket of wood, is perfectly perfect...and very funny! :)
ReplyDeleteKim, thank you so much for your sweet words! I thought when I started each of them it would be easy. I mean, I’m an adult who can follow directions. But that is not the case. It take so much more than following directions for these projects. I think craft projects are easy to do as children because the expectations are not as high..LOL. Since I struggled with these, I developed that KDS (Kindergarten Difficulty Scale) for my own benefit. If a kindergartener can’t do it, neither can I! I save my ego a little bit of bruising that way. And it’s okay to laugh, the hubby and I laughed at the results….LOL. I am glad to know that I’m not the only one who suffers through the projects. I don’t know how some of these bloggers do the heavy duty stuff. You saw that poor pillow and stool. Couldn’t you just imagine how a plank wall would end up looking in my house??!! The HGTV Wonder Twins (Property Brothers) would put me in jail! :-) Have a wonderful weekend and thank you again for your sweet words! :-)
DeleteLolz! I have plenty of these myself! I love that you shared them and got a good laugh out of it :) so nice for folks to see that not every attempt at something is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Something to Talk About!
Karen
Thank you Karen! I wanted to try to encourage others to share more of their craft project failures. It's all part of it! Have a great day and thanks so much for always hosting a great party!
