...do you have a "worst post ever"?
If so, was it your first blog post, your last post or several of the "in between" posts? Although I haven't been blogging that long, I have one that I feel was my worst post. You can find that post here.
I have to constantly remind myself to NOT pull the plug and put it out of blog misery. I don't think I can even give you a specific reason why I dislike it so much, I just do.
I keep it as a reminder to never write a post like this again!
Happy Monday!

What's wrong with that post? I actually agree with you. We can't have wicker inside because cats think it's ideal to scratch on, although it's very pretty and good for hot locales, like Texas. Like you, I feel that some rattan is nice, but most of it rates an "eh" on my mental decor rater.
ReplyDeleteYou know, it is just one of those posts for me. It was one of the first few and I’ve not been happy with any of them. I can’t put a finger on why I don’t like it….maybe it is because it is about rattan…LOL. I didn’t even have any when we lived in Texas, even though I knew it would hold up. I just couldn’t bring myself to make the purchase! Thanks so very much and have a great day!
DeleteWell, when I first started, there were many posts that no one commented on, but I don't know if they were my worst. My gluten-freed DF mushroom soup is my most popular post, and it has a photo of an apron, because the soup looks gross, but tastes great. :) The rattan look is very classic in Hawaii. Almost anywhere you stay the furniture is rattan. It's pretty, but wouldn't work here. xoxo Su
ReplyDeleteI can see that it would definitely be a favorite in Hawaii, as this style of furniture has a very beachy-look to it. It used to be that way in Florida and on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, but I think people in those areas are transitioning to canvas-covered furniture with slipcovers because it is easy to throw in the wash! I will have to check out your recipe! :-) Hugs!!
DeleteHmmm. I think my least favorites are from very early on, I was asked to do a link party and I didn't like hosting. It wasn't my thing.
ReplyDeleteLink parties are a lot of work. I think if I had hosted or co-hosted early on, I would have left blogging altogether…LOL.
DeleteI felt like I had to find my “footing” when I first started (all those months ago – go ahead and laugh cuz I know you have been blogging for years… even though it seems like it for me…LOL) and those first posts seemed like I was punching in the dark and not ever hitting anything!
I went, I read, I commented and I liked it. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSharon, thank you so much! Have a great day!
DeleteI didn't think your post was bad at all! I'm with you, I like Rattan, but the lighter tones! I'd have them on my porch with my ocean view! As for my blog posts, most of my old blog I want to delete, but don't have the heart, because I cherish quite a few of the posts. Some of the earlier ones, were just to get my thoughts out! Back in the day, they were mostly memes, which were great to get to know everyone, and find bloggers you had a lot in common with. My favorites are all the stories of my children when they were little, which I really enjoy reading over again! So I'll keep it! ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, you are sweet. It was just one of the first few and I was trying to find my footing I suppose. Yeah, I think I could suffer through it if I were able to look at the ocean all day! LOL. I couldn’t get rid of the ones about my kids either…those are definitely keepers! Thank you so much for your comments – hope you have a great evening! Hugs!!
DeleteThat post isn't bad at all, but I get it. I would say that most of my posts make me cringe LOL
ReplyDeleteAs far as rattan... it's very 80s. Maybe that's why? I'm not a fan either, so don't feel bad :)

What??! I love your posts!!! Rattan is one of those 80s things I don't love...and I LOVE the 80s! LOL Hugs!!
DeleteJust had to come back to this and read it because yes there are posts I wish I'd never done and honey, yours is completely blog-worthy compared to mine.
ReplyDeleteI must get up and get busy but will be back to read more of your charming writing!
Dewena
Dewena, you are so sweet and thank you!! I know what you mean…I get involved in reading a new blog and catching up on the previous posts and find that I’ve been at it for hours….lol. I look forward to reading more of your blog and getting to know you better! :-)
DeleteI have written many! I just read yours, it's not even that bad. You're too hard on yourself!
ReplyDeleteThank you, you are sweet!. You know how it is with your first few posts…just trying to find the right tone for the blog. :-)
