Life Hacks #14...

How's your week going?   I am sure several of you have been busy with graduating seniors, kindergarten graduations and end of year school activities!  Are you ready for summer?  Are you ready for this week's Life Hacks? :-)

Add the two minute rule to your life.
If it takes only two minutes, do it NOW!

If you want to get the absolute cheapest flight available, book your trip on a Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. six weeks prior to your trip.
Let me know if any of you try this and get good rates.

Use muffin tins to hold screws, nails and fasteners when putting together "build-it yourself" furniture.
This helps keep things all in one place and not rolling across the floor while you work.

If you don't get up every morning with a burning desire to do things, you don't have enough goals.
What if your burning desire is to go back to bed?  That's a goal, right?!

Need a flathead screwdriver and can't find one?
Use a standard power plug...it works for medium and large-sized screws.

Going camping?
Put some glow-in-the-dark paint on your tent.  You will be able to easily locate it at night.

Extra: Foods that burn fat...cinnamon, hot peppers, grapefruit, watermelon, sweet potato, eggs, caffeine, vinegar, milk and beans.

I am having a difficult time getting to the blog as I have way too many irons in the fire....so to speak. oh oh! hot potato! hot potato! And if it is a sweet potato, I am burning fat, right? Or am I just burning the candle at both ends? sigh!

    1. I’ve never been a coffee drinker but have started putting it in my protein shake…so I’m getting caffeine but I’m not losing weight…LOL I don’t know how solid that tip is…LOL Love and hugs!

  4. I just want to add that when Benita - the wife of a fire investigator - suggests using a power plug as a screwdriver, she means one that is connected to a cut wire that has been decommissioned and is no longer in use. She would not want to be responsible for someone damaging the internal electrical connection on the hot or neutral blade, resulting in a fire or electrocution. (This only took two minutes. Hey, that the Two Minute Rule works!)

    1. LOL...hey, it is not my suggestion, but the suggestion of someone apparently much smarter than me! :-) I would never do anything to compromise an electrical component, including unplugging an item by the cord, rather than that thing-a-majig on the end.

  8. Looks like I need to go on a diet of lots of cinnamon & watermelon. Going to the gym doesn't seem to be helping any more!!!! And the one about goals...definitely need to think about that one. My get-up-and-go lately has not been wanting to get up and go!!!

    1. I can definitely handle the cinnamon and watermelon, but will have to forego the milk...LOL I found that going to the gym makes me eat more, which makes me have to visit the gym more...a vicious cycle which I decided to break...LOL I'm with you...I call it "summer heat oppression"! :-) Hugs!
