To Be Completely Honest....

....it was difficult to get back to the blog after being away for a bit.  While it takes 21 days to form a habit, it takes all of 2 1/2 seconds to end one!  And blogging has become quite a habit for me.  I can see now that I can't post here and there...that I must post daily (or only miss a day here and there) or I will not come back to it.  And I would miss you all terribly if I didn't return!

We still do not have internet at home, but have been told that it might be available within the next 30-45 days...fingers crossed! :-)

This week is the Fall Home Tour hosted by Brenda at Cozy Little House.  I am so thankful that she included me in this tour, as it is my very first time to participate in a blog hop.  I'm glad I will be bringing up the rear...it will give me an opportunity to get a few more things in order!

Here's the line-up for the Fall Tour (and yes, I cheated...I copied Darrielle's list, sorry Darrielle, but it was too cute with the orange and I can't get my type to stay orange :-/)....

Tuesday, September 15th:

Wednesday, September 16th:

Thursday, September 17th:

Friday, September 18th:

 .....and a little sneak peek.

Forgive the lighting...it was about 10:00 last night....the ol' contacts were way past their life span for yesterday.  And just in case you are interested, we are still giving the neighbors a "peep" show. Hope to have blinds by the end of the week! :-)

It's Monday...all day!

  2. Hey posting every day is a lot. If you post once or twice a week it will be great. Do not put that stress on yourself. Have a great week.

  4. No internet till then? Geez, I'd be hopping mad about that. Don't stress yourself. You've already been stressed enough over this move.

    1. Yep....it's a long way off...LOL I get online here at the office when I can...I've been running like crazy to get stuff taken care of for work and getting utilities off at the other house. I'm ready for some relaxation! :-) And you are so right, this move has been crazy stressful! But it's almost over and I can see the sunshine! :-)

    1. LOL...Barbara, me and you both! Typical of EVERYTHING else with this move, it is not yet ready. The lady told us it would be ready by last Thursday and she would drop it off and put it in the front yard. It is not ready and will be sometime later this week or the beginning of next week. I'm telling you, this move has been so crazy...busted refrigerators, wrong orders with the satellite cable company, delays on anything and everything getting done....but we are in this house...LOL

    1. Thanks so much Christine! I've had those little pumpkin candles for years....and I won't light them...LOL. I keep them neatly tucked away in the fall storage container so they won't get damaged. I've not been able to find anymore since. Hugs!!

  9. Hi Benita! :)
I hear you, blogging is a whole lot of work! ;)
Wow, that long to wait for internet? Why, a new subdivision? That's a long wait! At least you have it at work...but then you're blogging instead of working...oh well, you have a good boss! ;)
Can't wait to see your home tour!!

    1. Hey chick! YES...that long!!! It is a new subdivision and we knew when we bought the house we wouldn't have cable or internet for some time, we were just hoping it wouldn't be a long time since they are getting houses up pretty quickly. We could go with HughesNet, but their pricing is outrageous and most of your usage has to occur between 2:00 - 6:00 a.m. Crazy stuff. So we ordered DirecTV for TV services and are hoping AT&T gets in there quickly...they have something close to dial-up available, but what's the point...LOL

So true and I dare him to say 2 words about my blogging time when he gets me for dirt cheap as an HR/Payroll admin.....LOL Thanks so much! Hugs!!

  10. What you're doing right now would totally overwhelm me, and I think I'd be putting the blog on hold. But I'm glad you're sticking around. That internet situation though...that's just wrong.

    1. Yep, the internet is frustrating, but much like the fridge, we are making it work…hopefully not too much longer on the fridge or internet. It’s those little things that get ya! :-) I’m one of those people that need structure and routine, so the blog helps keep the routine for me.

  11. I can't believe you are participating in the tour with all you have going on. And posting nearly every day?? No way. I post once a week and it's perfect for me. Don't stress. It will just burn you out faster.

I'm glad I'm coming up the rear too. I don't usually decorate much, and certainly not this early!

    1. I told Brenda I would love to participate would have to be at the end because of the move. I've decided that what gets done will get done, I will photograph it and be happy. I can add to it later and post those photos on the blog in October. :-)

  12. I'm glad you are participating in the tour, Benita. I hear ya on the blogging thing. I took a break a couple of months ago...I just lost my enthusiasm for a bit. It's so much work and not always fruitful. But I'm back with a vengeance now, haha. And I hope you are too. We love reading your blog out here :)

    1. I’m glad I’m doing it also. It’s a little bit of a challenge to get things in order, but it is motivating me to get those boxes unpacked rather than let them sit for weeks on end.

Thank you so much for the sweet words! I love reading your blog and am so glad you came back to it! Blogging is a lot of work and I didn’t know what to expect when I started, but I’ve made so many wonderful friends and enjoy the conversations so much! And yes, as soon as we get more settled, I will be back to my every day…or most every day! ;-) I’ve some projects I want to try and figure they are always good for a few laughs…LOL

  13. Well since we are being complete honest today – I confess I don’t get it at all. Sept 2nd you closed on your new house, have moved and presumably unpacked because you are Hosting a Fall Home Tour on Friday the 18th a mere 16 days after you closed - girl you set the bar high!

Somebody contact Amara and have them add a new Marathon category to their Blog awards cuz you amaze me with that whirlwind turnaround much less that you are still squeezing in new posts on your blog. Please take some time to relax and enjoy your new house we all luv you and CQ and will be reading whenever the mood hits you to post!

    1. You are so very sweet Kari! I appreciate the kind words greatly!! It's definitely been a whirlwind moving the house and the office, but it is all falling into place so that we can finally sit down and relax. The only problem is that when I sit down to relax, I notice all the things that need to be "straightened"...LOL. I'm one of those "picture straightener" people that drive everyone else nuts...LOL We will be taking a break this weekend though, hopefully for a date night or a Monk (one of my favorite shows) marathon! :-)

  15. Hope all your blogging issues, come back together...

Congratulation on being part of the Blog Tour.

Thank you for the click-able links to the blogs!!!!!!!!!!

I never joined a tour. I joined some sort of a blogging thing once, and it turned out to be more work than I wanted. We were supposed to read every participant's blog. And it took soooo long, to read/comment. And I thought, I'll never sign up for such again. :-)))))

But this way, I have not agreed to visit everyone. :-)

You are welcome on the blog links, but you will have to thank Darrielle also...I copied her links...LOL...needed to save myself a little work! ;-) And yes, you have choices...isn't it great to have choices! :-D

You are such a petite little trooper! I post 3 times a week, and try my best to keep up with comments and visitations. Just like you, I value my friendships and nurturing them takes time too. You are one organized, vivacious, bundle of talent and cuteness !,
