Moving Pains....

We are still unpacking boxes, but for the most part, are in the house.

The refrigerator, washer and dryer were delivered today.  The refrigerator had to be returned.  The top hinge had been crushed.  So we are back to "cooler" living and trying to keep a few food items iced down.  Fortunately, the refrigerator at the other house is still keeping all of our freezer items and necessities nice and cold.  We hope to have a new refrigerator on Wednesday.  Thankfully, I can wash clothes and we no longer have to stand upwind of everyone we meet! ;-)

Still no internet solution at the house.  BUT, we now have internet at our office!  YAY!  So, when I get up in the middle of the night to try to write a blog, I can drive 2 miles to "get 'er done"! ;-)  Life is fun!

Since I have no photos to share...well, I could share photos of all the boxes but I'm not sharing those...some things just need to remain unseen.  You know, like that big hairy man who refuses to hang curtains in his house OR put on clothes and then we have to scald our eyeballs to try to unsee what we didn't want to see?...stuff like that!

Soooo, I'm going to share with you another one of my failures from craft posts past....or something like that...it was a previous post.  And it is sort of timely, as college football season is in full swing!

I'm a horrible fan, I haven't gotten to see any games.  Our new next door neighbors are Tennessee fans, so that will make the 3rd weekend in October extra special this year. And since the hubster is an Aggie, we usually celebrate the win...

Except for that one time....

....but we don't talk about that!

So, here's the link to the Karma Witch Hunt if you decide you are really bored and want to laugh...I still laugh!

I'm celebrating that I made it through this move and didn't break one fingernail!!  :-)

    1. LOL..you are so right!! It's the important things, right?! We have truly enjoyed not having TV or internet. The fridge thing is a little inconvenient, but we have been making it fine! It's all good and we are getting settled.

  2. Oh Benita, you will have stories to tell for a good long time! I guess that we will all keep our troubles in proper perspective today, though...
    Have a good weekend :)

    1. Most definitely…LOL. It hasn’t been horrible being without the refrigerator, just a little inconvenient. Best Buy did offer to bring a sub, but I didn’t want refrigerators being moved in and out of the house, so I politely told them no, thank you. I’ve got so much to keep me busy, I don’t feel like cooking right now anyway, so I don’t need what’s in the fridge…LOL Hope you had a great weekend!

    1. LOL...it's those important things. While I didn't break one moving, I did break one doing absolutely nothing..LOL. Off to get it fixed this morning...LOL! Hope you had a great weekend!

    1. How cool that you were able to get a new fridge…well, I suppose it was. The cost is not fun at all, but the searching is definitely interesting! I can’t get over all the technological gadgets that come on refrigerators now. Our new washer/dryer plays a flippin’ symphony when the cycle is complete…LOL

  5. Hi Benita! :)
Oh, the joys of appliance delivery...or should I say damaged appliance delivery! Dang it!
    Come on Wednesday! ;)

    1. Hi Kimberley, hope you had a great weekend! I'm trying to play catchup, so bear with me please ma'am. FYI, my wreath hanger arrived over the weekend! Can't wait to get it up. How does yours look? Appliance delivery is challenging...such huge items and I can't figure out how you crush one...LOL. Yes, my craft-challenged self is definitely a comedy of errors! LOL

    2. Hi Benita! :)
No problem friend, I know you are still buried in boxes! ;)
I did have a great weekend, the weather is still summer like here in Illinois!
So glad you got the wreath hanger, isn't it cute! I haven't put mine up, it went down into the basement in one of my many Christmas totes...I plan to use it to hang a Christmas wreath on. Can't wait to see yours though!
      Hugs, Kimberley

    3. So glad you did! I love the Friday Finds…they were awesome, as usual! You have got to get down here and help me…with projects and shopping…LOL

I think I may slap a little paint on the area around the head…mine is a little dark. Is yours? Hugs!!

  6. My husband and I were walking on the beach this morning and saw a house for sale. He said wouldn't it be nice to have this view every morning? Yes, it would, but no, I am not moving!! I give you a lot of credit...I never want to do that again!! ;)

    1. LOL…I would have put the for sale sign up that day…a beach view every day…awesome and definitely worth moving for. But it is such a hassle. Every time we move I swear that I will sell everything we have and only move our clothes, but I never do. This time has truly been the most stressful and makes me not want to move again, that’s for sure!

    1. We had to do a lot of the cleaning stuff when we rented our loft. It seems that apartments are the worst for the cleaning bit. The house we rented wasn't too bad at all. Hope things are going a little better with getting settled! While I salvaged the nails through the move, I did break one doing absolutely nothing...LOL Hugs!!!

  9. I remember that project ;)

I'm glad your nails are still intact. Mine are gone since I picked up a paint brush a couple days ago. You know... for as much as I hate painting, I do it an awful lot lol I figure it's the same with you and moving.

I hope your fridge doesn't take much longer and you get your internet soon.

    1. LOL…I’m the same way with painting…I hate it but do it often. I can paint a house like a fiend, but a craft project…not so much! Surprisingly, we are fine without both of these things. It was a little rough the first few days, but after that, we don’t miss either…well, except when I need some eggs…LOL

Yeah, the pillow fiasco….I remember all these problems so very well..LOL Hugs!!!
