  1. Still so, so sad. Every year I also think of a friend of mine who's birthday is today. That must be awful!

    1. It was all so very sad and scared me to death! I couldn’t grab my kids and get home fast enough. It still frightens me because they seem to have done it all so effortlessly….

  4. It is still so sad! The story you told me gave me the chills, too! My youngest daughter yesterday found out that her teacher was a nanny to one woman who survived the attack, but was missing for several days and her husband and children didn't know if she was alive or not. Thankfully she was able to return to her loved ones. hugs, Christine

    1. I think that would be one of the worst parts...the waiting and not knowing about your loved one...there are so many stories that still break my heart. I'm glad your story ended well. One of the women who survived all of this died a couple of weeks ago...from cancer. They think that all of the debris and toxins in the air caused it.... Hugs!!

  5. Yes, I do.

I tried to watch the footage on the news like I have every year since it happened and they didn't show it. I guess some people have forgotten.

    1. I noticed that none of the usual memorial news shows were on. I don’t know if they just no longer care or if they just feel people don’t want to see it anymore. I think it should all be shown so that we remember to never let our guard down and that we are still battling these $*%&@#%@! Hugs!!

  6. I remember that day so vividly. My father worked across the street from the Pentagon during that time and I wasn't able to get through to him for almost the entire day. What was just as bad was that many of my family members live in New York and were right there when it happened. Luckily they were able to out run the debri. It's one of the saddest days ever imagined.
