Just a Quick Note....

We moved over the weekend and are still trying to get settled.  We have no internet and are back at the old house for a few minutes to catch up on some emails and such!  The moving went smoothly, in contrast to the closing nightmare!  Hope to be posting some photos before too long.  I'm trying to get ready for fall and that wonderful blog tour that Brenda at Cozy Little House is hosting!  I'm so excited!!

Love and miss you all!!  Hugs!!

  1. Whew! Moving is never easy. But the good news is, every day gets better... more boxes emptied, more dishes placed in cabinets, bit by bit, home begins to take shape. I'm looking forward to seeing all your newly decorated spaces in the new house.

    1. Judith, you are so right! We are finally down to about 15 boxes. We hope to have a refrigerator and washer/dryer by the end of the week. The good thing about moving is that we have cleared out quite a few things that we really didn’t need! :-) Thank you so much! I’m sort of looking forward to it myself! :-)

  3. Moving went smoothly... Wonderful.....

Perhaps a teeny, tiny bit of rest now....?

To "get your full wind back", and begin the putting-everything-in-its-place-stuff. :-))))

    Gentle hugs,

    1. Rest? What’s that? LOL. The important thing is that most of the stress is gone. We are trying to work on our lack of internet issues and I hope to be able to get back to some normal blogging and reading y’all’s blogs – I miss them!! Things are falling into place and next weekend, the screening-in is supposed to be again. I’m looking forward to some normal days! :-) Hugs back to ya Tessa!!

Your photograph above is lovely and complex. I love how the white roses in the silver piece stand out!

    1. Thank you so much Mary Alice! I fell in love with both of those pieces when I saw them and knew they would be a permanent part of my decor. I love the contrast of rustic with elegance!

  17. Re: Your wanting to do 'sort of antiquing' with your photos... So not liking Instagram... There are all sorts of things-you-can-do with your photos, right on IG, before you post them. :-) All sorts of effects. Want to try them myself, some time.

But right now, you have your hands full. :-) In a lovely way.

But! Instagram would be a super way to chronicle your new home, from move in, to done-your-way. One picture at a time. Just say what's in the photo and you are done. :-)

Where you might want to do it, on your blog, but running pics here, would seem too much to do. With the necessary words, which go, with a blog post.

    Just sayin'...

    Hugs,
    Tessa

    1. I’ve seen bloggers refer to pics they’ve shared on their Instagram in their blog posts and I love looking at them all. I need to find some discipline with this Instagram app and overcome my issues. Yes, the hands are full in a good way, but you are right, taking pics of the decorating process is a great way to get boosted into Instagram and have some true subject matter. And since it doesn’t require a long description, I could do it quickly! :-) I love the way you think! :-) :-) Hugs!!
